Prizes

 

Prizes will be awarded to both K-2 and 3-5 winners. These grade band entries will be judged separately and for each the following will be awarded:

FIRST PLACE PRIZE:

Class Prizes:

The First Place Class will receive:

  • a Discovery Education assembly for their school
  • a Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge green prize (for each student)
  • a banner for your school
  • Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge temporary tattoos

Teacher/Mentor Prizes:

The teacher/mentor of the First Place Class will receive:

  • a $5,000 grant for their school
  • free registration to the next NSTA National (or Area) Conference
  • hotel accommodations for three nights at the conference
  • a pocket video camera
  • a one-year membership to NSTA

SECOND PLACE PRIZE:

Class Prizes:

The Second Place Class will receive:

  • a Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge green prize (for each student)
  • a banner for your school
  • Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge temporary tattoos

The teacher/mentor of the Second Place Class will receive:

  • a $3,000 grant for your school
  • free registration to the next NSTA National (or Area) Conference
  • hotel accommodations for two nights at the conference
  • a pocket video camera
  • a one-year membership to NSTA

THIRD PLACE PRIZE:

The Third Place Class will receive:

  • a Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge green prize (for each student)

  • a $2,000 grant for your school
  • free registration to the next NSTA National (or Area) Conference
  • hotel accommodations for one night at the conference
  • a pocket video camera
  • a one-year membership to NSTA

FINALIST PRIZES:

Class Prizes:

Each member of a State Finalist Class will receive:

  • a banner for your school
  • Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge temporary tattoos
  • customized online certificate
  • ascreen saver

Teacher/Mentor Prizes:

Each teacher/mentor of a State Finalist Class will receive:

  • a one-year membership to NSTA
  • a pocket video camera

All class participants that complete a project that meets all the criteria for the Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge will receive a customized certificate, a screen saver, and Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge temporary tattoos.
